How IndoPac Energy approaches compliance and governance.
We operate as an independent intermediary and apply a commercially practical, risk-aware approach to compliance, counterparty screening, and information handling. Long-term relationships in LNG and energy markets are built on trust, lawful conduct, discretion, and disciplined execution.
Our Role
IndoPac Energy acts solely as an introducer and intermediary in physical LNG and related energy transactions.
We:
- Connect verified buyers and sellers;
- Facilitate commercial discussions and transaction coordination;
- Support structured engagement between serious counterparties.
We do not:
- Take title to cargos;
- Act as a principal trader;
- Provide investment, legal, tax, or financial advice;
- Operate as a financial broker-dealer or exchange.
Our role is to facilitate credible, professionally managed commercial relationships.
Counterparty Due Diligence
We apply a structured Know Your Counterparty (KYC) approach appropriate to the nature of LNG and international energy markets.
This may include review of:
- Corporate registration and ownership information;
- Authorized signatory details;
- Business profile and transaction role;
- Regulatory, sanctions, and reputational considerations.
We prioritize transparent ownership structures, commercially credible counterparties, and clearly defined mandates.
When appropriate, we may ask for supporting documentation before we begin discussing.
Sanctions & Trade Controls
IndoPac Energy does not knowingly participate in transactions that would breach applicable sanctions, export controls, or trade restrictions.
As part of our review process, we may assess counterparties, vessels, jurisdictions, and transaction structures against relevant international sanctions and compliance considerations.
Transactions involving elevated legal, regulatory, or reputational risk may be subject to enhanced review or declined at our discretion.
We expect counterparties to comply with all laws and regulations applicable to them in their respective jurisdictions.
AML & Financial Crime Awareness
Although IndoPac Energy does not handle client funds, we recognize the importance of staying aware of anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime risks in international commodity markets.
We reserve the right to request additional information, seek clarification, or discontinue discussions where the overall risk profile is not commercially or compliance appropriate.
Confidentiality & Information Handling
Confidentiality is central to our role as an intermediary.
We treat non-public commercial information shared with us as confidential and use it solely to evaluate and facilitate legitimate business discussions.
Where appropriate, we are prepared to work under mutual non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
Ethical Conduct
We are committed to conducting business with integrity and professionalism.
We:
- Do not solicit or accept improper payments or inducements;
- Seek to avoid conflicts of interest;
- Aim to communicate information in good faith and without intentional misrepresentation;
- Prefer transparent and commercially credible transaction structures.
We reserve the right to disengage from relationships or opportunities that do not meet our commercial, ethical, or compliance standards.
Jurisdiction & Limitations
IndoPac Energy operates in accordance with applicable Indian laws and relevant international commercial standards associated with cross-border LNG and energy transactions.
Nothing on this website constitutes:
- An offer or solicitation;
- Legal, tax, investment, or financial advice;
- A guarantee that any transaction will proceed.
All transactions remain subject to independent negotiation, due diligence, documentation, and agreement between the principal parties.
Ongoing Review
Energy markets and compliance expectations continue to evolve. We therefore periodically review and refine our internal compliance and risk-management practices in line with applicable legal, commercial, and banking expectations.
